Giveaway to Celebrate Six Months
Six months ago I decided to start up this blog to motivate me to finally write down and share some of my travel stories and pictures as well as get projects done around my house. It has definitely provided me with that motivation and I am also lucky to have had people actually reading what I have been writing.
As a thank you I want to send a matted enlargement of one of my travel pictures to six people. All you have to do to enter is look through the photos I've posted under Picture of the Day and then comment on this post telling me which one of my photos you would like if you won.
You can submit additional entries with separate posts doing one of the following:
- Like my page on Facebook (Post what name you liked me under)
- Follow me on Pinterest (Post what name you followed me under)
- Pin one of my posts to Pinterest (Post a link to your pin)
Only posts on my blog (not on facebook) will count as entries and you can have a maximum of five total entries.
Some Rules:
- To be eligible you must be 18 years of age or older and a resident of the US or Canada
- Entries will close on Wednesday May 30, 2012 at 12:00 Noon EST
- The six winners will be chosen by a random number generator based on the posts
- I will notify the winners by email and they will have 72 hours to confirm with a valid US or Canadian address and verify the picture that they want otherwise an alternate winner will be chosen
- The photos are being provided by Home and Away With Lisa and I am not being compensated in any way for this giveaway

How very kind of you Lisa. I went through the photos of the day - umm so many wonderful photos to choose from. No crocodiles, um bananas either green or yellow umm which one which one ..... in the end I choose Doorway at Banteay Srei Cambodia posted May 11/12. The reason I like this one best; it invites me in to ponder, to think and just visit a while, much like your blog and I like the colours.
As you know, I enjoy your travel photos so much! My heart will always be partial to Korea, though. So, my favorite must be Gyeongbok Palace, Seoul, South Korea (08.08.2008) posted January 9, 2012. The colors are so vivid - just like my memories of visiting the palace almost 2 years ago. Simply amazing! Thanks for sharing your gift of photography to brighten each day!

That was one of the most difficult tasks ever! I saw so many I would love to have. The cuttlefish was adorable! The Grand Canyon and pictures from Paris took me right back to both places! I love the signs in London and the Tower Bridge picture as well. GAH!! What's a girl to do?!?!
I finally settled on Machu Picchu posted on 12/14/2011 as my choice. As you know I want to go to the Galapagos this next year. I want to be able to take a side trip to Machu Picchu as well. It is on my bucket list.

Hard to choose a favourite - all of your photos are beautiful. The perspective you used in your photo of "Chandelier at Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris" makes for a stunning photograph. I loved the "Zebra at Kruger National Park" as well.
How fun! I also had trouble deciding, all your photos are just beautiful. Of course, I am partial to the Guaremala photos, so either the Textile vendor at Chichi or Girls selling flowers at Chichi. Thanks so much for the chance to win!
My absolute favorite picture of the day is the Ta Prom temple you posted on 12/9/11. I would love to have this photo if I am selected. I love to travel to exotic places, and Cambodia is definitely on my list. I've seen Khmer temples in Thailand, but the Cambodian ones seem much more impressive and mysterious.I have my own photo gallery going in my home of places I've been, and I just love looking at them as I wonder through my house. Having one of yours would be an honor.

I'm clueless as to Facebook and Pinterest so I'll let you know here how much I love your 05.29.2006 photo from Szentendre, Hungary [the land of my ancestors]. Your photo just draws me in . . . inviting me to go though those time worn doors with their beautiful peeling paint and their "wonky-ness". And that little sparrow. . . unexpectedly exquisite! Thank you for sharing your wanderlust [and "away" photos] with us.
I am a huge fan of all of your photos, so it is really hard to choose just one favorite. I love the Victoria, Australia image you've included at the top of this post; I love your zebra, llama, baby sea turtles, and cuttlefish photos; I love the details in all of your European and Asian images. You are so talented and creative!
Since I have to choose just one photo, however, I am going to say my favorite is your Tulum, Mexico (10.09.2005) image. I have been to Tulum, so that image invokes great memories for me.

Congratulations on your 6 month anniversary! You have accomplished so much and inspired many of us, as well as letting us live vicariously through your pictures.
My husband and I have pored over your pictures of the day to find a favorite and like many of your followers have had difficutly in selecting one. So I am listing 2 of our favs and if chosen will let you decide. Either the Apostles in Australia or the Green Door in Hungary would be a blessing to us and we would be proud to say we have a Lisa Brown hanging on our walls!
