Hi Lisa! I tried to posting a comment the other day but it didn't go through for some reason...I'm loving your photos from Guatemala, it would be great to hear some stories about your trip there. I spent a month there many years ago and had an amazing time!

Thank you, Hilary! I am so glad that you are enjoying them. I had a really wonderful time when I went to Guatemala. Hiking around Lake Atitlan, people watching at the market in Chichi and exploring the ruins at Tikal were some of my favorite memories from there. I'll have to write up some of my Guatemala stories. That is wonderful that you were able to spend a month there. What were some of your favorite experiences?

Chichi was great, I wish we spent a little more time there. Tikal was incredible, just awe inspiring. We spent a week at Monterrico, which has a sea turtle conservancy. I got to release baby sea turtles the first night I was there and one night we recovered a batch of eggs...as the mother was laying them! I got to catch eggs as she was laying them, there really are no words that can accurately describe how that felt!
I really need to get a scrapbook completed about that trip. Do you still scrapbook? I have your book and I still refer to it for inspiration!

Monterrico sounds like it was amazing, Hilary! What a special experience to release baby sea turtles into the wild. Awesome!

I have to admit that with a lot of tough things that happened in my personal life I pretty much stopped scrapbooking for the past few years. I've been meaning to try and get back into making some layouts for a while and your post prompted me to finally make something last night. Thank you for the motivation!
